Day 2: India Sourcing Fair debuts in MiamiPosted: July 13, 2011
More than 30 top exporters from India have come to the Miami Beach Convention Center for the first India Sourcing Fair in the US. Many of these exhibitors boast long manufacturing history, with several claiming over 100 years in business. These suppliers cover product categories such as jewelry, handmade textiles, handbags, promotional items and more.
One day after the show’s opening, many exhibitors both at the India Sourcing Fair and the China Sourcing Fairs have run out of business cards and catalogs to give to buyers.
Such activity was not limited to the show floor. Chairman of the China Sourcing Information Center Mike Bellamy’s three seminars on How to Source from China have been standing room only in conference rooms intended to seat comfortably more than 200 people. The mixed crowd of buyers from the Americas and around the world was clearly interested in what Bellamy had to say about sourcing opportunities and pitfalls, negotiation tactics and quality control.
The exhibition runs for only one more day, closing July 13.
