Methods of sourcing safe products detailedPosted: April 22, 2011
AsiaInspection’s Business Development Manager David Feig gave a step-by-step guide on how buyers can minimize the danger of getting noncompliant products when sourcing from China. He pointed out that although the risks in subcontracting to the country outrank benefits, the former still do exist.
The speaker mentioned that client responsibility includes selecting a partner factory wisely, specifying requirements and supervising manufacturing. To carry these out properly, steps such as preproduction preparations and ensuring items are safe during shipping were detailed. Feig emphasized that the tail end of the entire process can be particularly risky.
Acting as the buyers’ eyes in the factory, AsiaInspection knows the possible perils and how to control them, putting emphasis on product quality. Feig’s presentation was the 3rd module in China Sourcing Fair’s How to Source from China seminar series being held at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.
